Training

The Care4U training programme combines classroom theory with practical demonstrations including online modules. Workbooks and assessments are also included to help develop and improve healthcare knowledge and skills. To make each training program realistic and engaging, we also encompass group participation and interactive exercises. With our in-depth training programme, caregivers will gain the vital healthcare knowledge and help to create a better future for themselves and their clients.

Care 4 U Induction

We start our Induction sessions with an overview of Care4U’s structure and the services we offer. This allows caregivers to have a full understanding of our company, our key values and expectations. Following that is a discussion on employee responsibilities, the role of a caregiver and key policies and procedures.

Domiciliary Care Training Focus

Our domiciliary care training programme focus on:

  • SOVA
  • MCA
  • DOL’s
  • Infection control
  • Dementia Care
  • Medication
  • Continence
  • Food hygiene
  • Moving and handling
  • Basic life support

Additional Training

Additional training is based upon the caregiver’s workplace allocation, for example:

  • Introduction to Learning Disabilities & Mental Health
  • Coping with Challenging Behavior
  • Prevention of Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA)
  • Palliative Care
  • Stroke Care

How often are our training sessions?

Our training is delivered in-house and is also outsourced which allows us to be able to deliver frequent training whenever its needed.

Training Standards

At Care4U, we deliver effective training that meet the standards required by our regulators the CQC (Care Quality Commission). Every new care worker at Care4U, especially if they are new to the care industry must complete the Care Certificate during their first 12 weeks of employment.

Specialist Training

All our specialist training is outsourced, and the courses are specifically developed to support clients with complex care needs.

Specialist training is designed to support clients with short and long term complex care needs such as brain injury and spinal injury

Courses come with competency assessments which are personalised to the clients medical and social needs.
